We were commissioned by a customer to create this unique floating oak staircase for their home in Devon.
This floating oak staircase was built with a steel core to give it the strength it requires and to provide the structure. The toughened glass both adds a modern look to the stairs and eliminates the need for handrails, which adds further to the floating effect.
The whole structure was clad in oak to hide the steel frame work to give the impression that the wooden box staircase is just floating in the air with no supports.
